Business Flyer

Business Flyer

The theme of my business flyer started with the first word: "simple." I opted for simplicity for several reasons. The first was that I wanted to convey a feeling of understated professionalism. The second was that I wanted my flyer to parallel the easy and straightforward experience I'd like to give my customers. The third was that for a printed flyer, black and white is far cheaper than color printing and often, amidst a sea of colorful papers trying to grab people's attention, I think that something simple and sparse is equally or even more likely to catch the eye of a potential customer. I opted for a sans-serif font because it is easy to read and is the type of font most often used in association with the internet and photography. The centered design gives the elements unity, while varying font sizes and white space separate the elements of the flyer. I floated the words "Simple. Effective. You." in a lot of white space to catch the attention of the viewer, make them wonder what I'm talking about, and hopefully lead them to read some of the other text describing my services. Operating on the assumption that I have a new business and am working from my home, I think that my website would be my primary way of having first contact with customers, so it's the last thing n the page; what they will hopefully be led to visiting after seeing the flyer.
